My Why

Hi, I am Lauren Molinaro.

I am a wife and mother to two beautiful daughters, Sophie (6) and Camille (4). We recently moved to Carlsbad, which opened the door for me to pursue my dream job of becoming a photographer full time. My background is in education and child development. I have been working with children as a learning specialist for the past 15 years, with experience in both school and private settings. I pride myself in being able to connect with kids and I love to see their true personalities emerge through photography.

My goal is to preserve your family memories; loving relationships, precious intimate moments and all the beauty in the mundane moments of life. My photography is unique because I focus on story-telling, showing authentic moments full of love, emotion, humor and joy. I am passionate about photography and love capturing the essence of who you are through photographs.

I know first hand that family photo sessions may be daunting and stressful for the whole family. My job is to help plan, direct and execute the session so that parents are free to be themselves and enjoy being in the moment with their family. That is why I am interested in getting to know your family on a personal level before we even begin. I would love for you to walk away feeling like you had fun! (It is possible, I promise!)
